We couldn’t have been prouder to see Aoife don the Irish singlet on Friday night and make her Olympic debut. A truly incredible achievement!
In absolutely brutal running conditions in Sapporo though, it unfortunately was just not to be Aoife’s day.
We know that this is just the start of Aoife’s international marathon running journey and that there are many, MANY brighter days to come for her!
Well done Aoife, all at Eagle AC and the wider Cork and Irish running communities are so proud of you and all that you have achieved to date. Your progress, training and dedication over the past couple of years have been inspirational.
This is just the beginning!!
