Now that the dust has settled on the 2021 Virtual Cheetah Run, we are delighted to announce that the event has raised an impressive total of €4,540 of much needed funds for Fota Wildlife Park!
This amount was raised through both entry fees as well as extra donations from race entrants.
A massive THANK YOU from all at Eagle AC to those who supported the event. It was great to see over 400 entries - from individuals, families and even a few school classes!
A big thanks to all who publicised the run, especially to Jarlath Regan and Sonia O’Sullivan from ‘Irishman Running Abroad’ podcast. The guys gave the event a mention on their super podcast, as well as running a Strava event supporting the race with their listeners.
Thanks also to Ronan Wogan of myrunresults.ie for organising the entries, merchandise and results for us. The results can be viewed here:https://www.myrunresults.com/events/fota_cheetah_virtual_run/4107/results
Well done to our 2021 race winners - Damian Kenneally ( 17.02) and Trish Hegarty ( 18.55)
Finally, while it’s great that our virtual event has gone so well, nothing beats the real thing! All things going well, we can’t wait to host Cheetah Run 2022 back at Fota Wildlife Park!
